Musician from Mexico City, he started his music studies at an early age. His interest and taste for Jazz lead him to pursue his professional studies at Berklee College of Music in Boston Massachusetts, where he concludes his career as a composer, arranger and guitar performer. During his stay in Boston, he studied guitar with the best guitarists in the area such as: Al Defino, John Demian, John Wilkins, Rick Shilling. In 2005 he received a scholarship from the Louis Armstrong Foundation of New York to join the Masters in Jazz Studies at the University of New Orleans and belong to The Luis Armstrong Quintet, being the first and only Latin American to have received this distinction. This quintet participated in various jazz festivals worldwide such as the Jazz and Heritage Jazz Festival of New Orleans and the North Sea Jazz Festival of Rotterdam in the Netherlands. He has participated in countless events, festivals and recordings in Mexico, North America, South America and Europe, and has alternated with renowned musicians in the world Jazz scene such as: Eddie Gomez, Victor Goines, Albin Batist, Ellis Marsalis, Cindy Scott, Steve Masakowski and Hank Mackie.
